“My Secret Place” COLLECTION (2018)

I’ve always been an outsider, not part of any group, an observer. These paintings are about my memories as a child at our family cottage on Lake Of Bays near Algonquin Park. I loved to hang out hidden just inside the shade of the trees by the water’s edge while my family played nearby in the sun. I loved the dampened quiet created by the floor of pine needles. I loved the sound of the breeze through the leaves and my family’s voices not far off. I liked knowing that they were close by but I needed my distance. This was my secret place.
